Alaska Airlines Adds New Service Between Portland, Oregon and Nashville

Alaska Airlines has today announced the launch of new direct service between Portland, Oregon and Nashville, Tennessee. Starting March 14, 2024, the route will operate daily with a Boeing 737.

On Thursday (November 9, 2023), Alaska Airlines announced the launch of new daily nonstop service between Portland, Oregon and Nashville, Tennessee starting March 14, 2024. The route will be operated with a Boeing 737, and tickets are now bookable on the airline’s website. Alaska will be the only airline operating direct service on the route, which features a convenient mid-morning departure from Portland and a late afternoon arrival in Nashville. With the new service, Alaska will offer 53 nonstop destinations from Portland in 2024.


In Thursday’s announcement, Alaska Airlines’ VP – Revenue Management and Network Planning, Kirsten Amrine, said,


“We’re always focused on better connecting the Pacific Northwest with new nonstops in our network. We know there’s a strong desire by our guests for an easier way to travel between Portland and Nashville. Our new flight will link a pair of exciting regions that both have wide-ranging, festive entertainment and sports scenes as well as growing business centers.”

Alaska Airlines has been the largest carrier in Portland Oregon for the last 20 years, and now served more destinations nonstop outside of the Pacific Northwest than in 2019. As previously announced, the carrier will launch new nonstop service between Portland and Miami on November 17, 2023. Flights from Portland to Vancouver, Canada resumed last June, and the carrier will also resume seasonal service between Portland and Redmond/Bend on November 23, 2023.
