Alaska Air Group Reports Third Quarter 2025 Net Profit of $73 Million or $0.62 per Diluted Share

Alaska Air Group has reported a third quarter 2025 net profit of $73 million or $0.62 per diluted share on a year-over-year increase in revenue of 23 percent to $3.8 billion.  The large increase in revenue reflects the integration of Hawaiian Airlines.

On Thursday (October 23, 2025), Alaska Air Group reported their third quarter financial results for the period ending September 30, 2025.  The carrier reported a third quarter net profit of $73 million or $0.62 per diluted share on a year-over-year increase in revenue of 23 percent to $3.8 billion.  Alaska’s third quarter revenue per available seat mile (RASM) declined (0.5) percent versus the same period last year to 15.41 cents, while cost per available seat mile, excluding fuel (CASM-ex) increased 10.5 percent to 11.23 cents.  Alaska Air Group ended the third quarter with $2.3 billion in unrestricted cash and marketable securities.


In Thursday’s announcement, Alaska Air Group’s President and CEO, Ben Minicucci, said,

During the third quarter, Alaska announced two new global nonstop routes with service from Seattle to London and Reykjavik starting May 2026.  The carrier also announced seven new nonstop routes connecting California and the Pacific Northwest starting this winter, including new service from Burbank, Boise, Spokane, San Diego, and Palm Springs.


The carrier also launched Atmos™ Rewards, a new loyalty program integrating Alaska’s Mileage Plan™ and Hawaiian’s HawaiianMiles™ programs, and announced the fleetwide installation of Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi, with complimentary access for Atmos Rewards members.  Starlink installations are expected to begin in the fourth quarter and be completed in 2027.  Alaska also released the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite, a premium co-branded credit card, offering enhanced earnings opportunities and exclusive benefits.


Additionally, the airline completed the sale of their final eight Boeing 737-900s during the period.  Alaska also announced investments in widebody aircraft interiors to support their premium international experience, including lie-flat Business Class suites, a new Premium Economy cabin, refreshed Main Cabin seating, and elevated onboard amenities.  Alaska also announced San Diego lounge expansion plans, with construction to start in early 2027.
