Airbus to Hire Over 13,000 New Team Members Worldwide in 2023

Airbus is stepping up their quest for new talent to prepare for the future of aerospace, with plans to hire over 13,000 new team members in 2023. The new talent will support the company’s commercial aircraft ramp-up, and challenges in defence, space and helicopters.

On Thursday (January 26, 2023), Airbus announced that they will hire over 13,000 new team members worldwide in 2023 to support commercial aircraft ramp-up, while meeting challenges in Defence, space and helicopters. Around 7,000 of the jobs will be newly created posts across the company, with new team members becoming instrumental in supporting Airbus’ industrial ramp-up and ambitious decarbonization roadmap. The global recruitment drive will emphasize technical and manufacturing skills, along with the acquisition of new talent to support the company’s long-term vision in areas such as energies, cyber and digital.

In Thursday’s announcement, Airbus’ Chief Human Resources & Workplace Officer, Thierry Baril, said,


“In 2022 we welcomed more than 13,000 new employees within Team Airbus around the world, in a complex environment which tested our resilience and attractiveness as a global employer. Following the success of our recruitment last year, we will hire over 13,000 employees again in 2023. We call on talented individuals from all over the world to join us in our journey to make sustainable aerospace a reality and to help us build a better, more diverse and inclusive workplace for all our employees.” Over 9,000 of the new positions will be in Europe, while the rest will be located throughout Airbus’ global network. One-third of the total positions will be allocated to recent graduates. Currently, Airbus employs over 130,000 team members across their businesses worldwide.
