airBaltic has announced an expansion of their summer 2026 flying program with six new routes, three resumed destinations and additional frequencies on nearly 30 existing routes.

On Tuesday (September 2, 2026), airBaltic announced an expansion of their network for the summer 2026 season, which runs from March 2026 through October 2026. The carrier’s schedule expansion includes six new routes, three resumed destinations, and increased frequencies on nearly 30 existing routes. New summer 2026 routes from Riga include service to Kaunas (Lithuania), Oulu (Finland), and Antalya (Turkey), which until now has only been served as a charter flight. From Tallinn (Estonia), the carrier will expand connectivity with new services to Athens (Greece), Hamburg (Germany), and Vienna (Austria). With the addition of the Riga-Kaunas route, airBaltic will now operate from all three Lithuanian airports.
In Tuesday’s announcement, airBaltic’s Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Thomas Ramdahl, said,
“Each season, we carefully evaluate the travel needs of our passengers and the overall market dynamics in the region. The additions and increases we are making for summer 2026 reflect our long-term commitment to strengthening connectivity of Latvia and overall Baltic States with the rest of the world. By offering more destinations and increased frequencies, we aim to provide travelers with greater convenience, flexibility, and choice, while further supporting tourism, business, and economic development in Latvia and the entire region, and strengthening ties with Europe and beyond.”
