AirAsia Malaysia launched new service between Kuala Lumpur and Perth, Australia, with the inaugural flight departing Kuala Lumpur at 14:10 on Monday, and touching down in Perth at 19:50.
On Monday (February 11, 2024), AirAsia Malaysia announced the launch of new service between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Perth, Australia. The inaugural flight, which was serviced with an Airbus A320neo, departed Kuala Lumpur at 14:10 on Monday, and touched down in Perth at 19:50 (all times local). With a 95 percent load factor, the customers onboard flight AK604 were given a warm sendoff by the AirAsia team, and were gifted with exclusive ‘goodie bags.’
In Monday’s announcement, AirAsia Aviation Group’s CEO, Bo Lingham, said,
“We’re truly excited to launch AirAsia Malaysia’s first ever route to Australia commencing with one of our most frequented cities in the country - the beautiful Perth - adding to our daily existing flights on this route operated by our medium-haul affiliate airline AirAsia X (AAX). Thanks to the addition of the new model A321neo aircraft with longer range capabilities spanning over five hours and numerous operational efficiency, we are able to make these new services a reality on a narrowbody aircraft from Kuala Lumpur so that more of our guests can travel to Australia affordably.”
Celebrating the new route, AirAsia is offering all-in one-way fares from Kuala Lumpur to Perth from only RM 299, and from Perth to Kuala Lumpur from AUD 166. To qualify for the low introductory fares, tickets must be booked by March 17, 2024 for travel between now and November 30, 2024.
