Air Transat to Launch New Direct Service to Lima, Peru From Toronto and Montreal

Air Transat is launching new service to Lima, Peru from both Toronto and Montreal. The Toronto-Lima route will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays from December 20th, while Montreal-Lima flights will operate on Fridays starting December 22nd.

On Friday (August 11, 2023), Air Transat announced the launch of new direct service to Lima, Peru from both Toronto and Montreal. Toronto-Lima flights will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays from December 20, 2023 through April 24, 2024. Service between Montreal and Lima will operate once weekly on Fridays from December 22nd through April 26, 2023. Additionally, Air Transat will offer once weekly service on Fridays between Montreal and Cozumel, Mexico from December 15th through April 26, 2024. All routes will be operated with an Airbus A321LR, which offers the lowest fuel consumption and emissions in its class.


In Friday’s announcement, Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer, Michèle Barre, said,


“We are proud to add Lima to our portfolio of destinations on three continents. This strategic expansion allows us to diversify our long-haul offering by maximising the use of our A321LR aircraft, and to capitalize on the sustained growth of tourism in South America. Meanwhile, we are consolidating our presence in the Mexican market – a key destination of our Caribbean winter program – by restarting our operations in Cozumel.”
