Air Transat’s inaugural flight between Toronto and Lima (TS152) took flight on Wednesday evening, December 20th. The carrier’s inaugural flight between Montreal and Lima (TS150) will take place on Friday December 22, 2023.
On Thursday (December 21, 2023), Air Transat announced the launch of new direct services between Canada and Peru. The carrier’s inaugural service between Toronto and Lima (TS152) took flight on Wednesday evening December 20th, while the new Montreal-Lima service (TS150) will take to the skies for the first time on Friday, December 22, 2023). Air Transat’s new routes are the only direct connections between Canada and Peru and will operate year-round. Toronto-Lima flights will operate twice weekly, while Montreal-Lima flights will operate once weekly.
In Thursday’s announcement, Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer, Michèle Barre, said,
“It is a great pleasure for Air Transat to bring this promising route to fruition and finally see our star fly over Peru. Lima represents a strongly strategic South American gateway within our portfolio of destinations, allowing us to continue to benefit from the sustained growth of tourism on this continent. We are also very proud to offer our passengers the opportunity to broaden their horizons and discover the treasures of Peru.”
