Air Transat has announced that they will extend service from Montreal to Bordeaux and Valencia for winter 2025/26. Previously offered only in summer, these flights will now operate weekly from February with an Airbus A321LR.

On Monday (May 26, 2025), Air Transat announced that they will extend service from Montréal-Trudeau (YUL) to Bordeaux and Valencia (VLC) for the winter 2025/26 season. Previously operated only in summer, the routes will operate weekly from February 2026 with an Airbus A321LR. The new winter service to Bordeaux complements existing service to Lyon, Marseille and Nantes, confirming the importance of France in Air Transat’s network.
In Monday’s announcement, Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer, Sebastian Ponce, said,
“By expanding our presence in France and Spain during the winter, we are taking another step toward making our transatlantic program available year-round. Having recently added Valencia to our summer program, its winter extension is a testament to the destination’s potential. As for Bordeaux, its winter addition strengthens our presence in the French provinces, a priority market for Air Transat.”
The extension of service to Valencia in Spain, whose inaugural flight is scheduled for June 20, 2025, confirms the demand for this fast-growing destination. Valencia joins Madrid and Malaga in the carrier’s winter flying program, consolidating Air Transat’s year-round presence in Spain. Weekly Saturday flights to Bordeaux and Valencia will operate from February 21, 2025.
