On Tuesday (January 9, 2023), Air Serbia announced the launch of new service between Belgrade and Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  From April through October 2024, the route will operate three times weekly on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays with an Embraer E175.  One of the most popular tourist destinations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mostar features the famous Old Bridge, which has been listed as a UNESCO cultural heritage site since 2005, along with the Old City.  With the addition of Mostar, Air Serbia now serves 17 cities from Belgrade.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Air Serbia’s General Manager – Commercial and Strategy, Boško Rupić, said,

“At the end of 2023, Air Serbia responded to the Public Call for the establishment of scheduled flights for 2024, announced by Mostar Airport, in connection with the introduction of a direct service between Belgrade and Mostar.  In the first days of January, the decision was made to accept our offer.  Once technical details and contract signing are finalized, fares will be published presumably in the coming weeks.”

Inbound customers to Belgrade will also enjoy one-stop connectivity to Air Serbia’s network destinations across Western and Northern Europe, as well as the U.S.

Air Serbia was launched under their current name in October 2013, as the national airline of the Republic of Serbia.  The carrier offers service from Belgrade, Niš and Kraljevo to over 70 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North America and Africa with both passenger and cargo flights.  Air Serbia also offers service to Asia, Australia, North America and Africa via codeshare partners.  The airline’s fleet consists of 19 aircraft, including one Airbus A330, 12 Airbus A320 Family and six ATR-72 Family turboprop aircraft.
