On Sunday (June 22, 2025), Air Serbia announced the launch of new nonstop service between Belgrade and Geneva. The route will operate three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with an additional Sunday flights during July and August. Air Serbia also offers seamless one-stop connectivity from Geneva, via Belgrade, to Athens, Budapest, Dubrovnik, Ankara, Heraklion, Istanbul, Larnaca, Ljubljana, Malta, Ohrid, Bucharest, Pula, Rhodes, Sarajevo, Thessaloniki, Skopje, Sofia, Split, Tbilisi, Podgorica, Tirana, Tivat, Varna, Vienna, Zagreb, and many other cities.
In Sunday’s announcement, Air Serbia’s General Manager – Commercial & Strategy, Boško Rupić, said,
“By connecting the Serbian capital and Geneva, we contribute to better relations between the two countries and facilitate easier travel. A significant number of people from the Western Balkans region live in Switzerland, and we believe they will find this direct service very useful. This is evidenced by both ticket sales and passenger demand, which is why we decided to introduce an additional, fourth weekly flight during part of the summer season, in July and August.”
Air Serbia was launched under their current name in October 2013, as the national airline of the Republic of Serbia. The carrier offers service from Belgrade, Niš and Kraljevo to over 70 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North America and Africa with both passenger and cargo flights. Air Serbia also offers service to Asia, Australia, North America and Africa via codeshare partners. The airline’s fleet consists of 19 aircraft, including one Airbus A330, 12 Airbus A320 Family and six ATR-72 Family turboprop aircraft.
