Starting May 1st, 2021, Air Serbia is adding capacity to Montenegro with additional flights and 3,000 additional seats to Tivat and Podgorica. During May, the carrier will offer double-daily flights to Podgorica and nine weekly flights to Tivat.
On Monday (April 26, 2021), Air Serbia announced an increase in frequencies to Montenegro with over 3,000 additional seats to both Podgorica and Tivat from May 1st, 2021. The Serbian national carrier will offer 15 weekly flights to Podgorica, with double-daily flights except for Fridays, when they will operate three flights. During May, Air Serbia will also offer nine weekly flights to Tivat, with daily service all week, except for Fridays and Sundays, when the carrier will operate two daily flights.
In Monday’s announcement, Air Serbia’s General Manager – Commercial & Strategy, Jiri Marek, said,
“We are committed to the Montenegrin market, and it is important for us that, in addition to providing a connection between the two countries, we also provide passengers from Montenegro with a connection to another 28 destinations in our network. We continue to monitor the situation and adapt the volume of traffic to changes in demand.”
When Montenegro Airlines discontinued service in December 2020, Air Serbia stepped in to ensure essential connectivity between the two countries with continuing service to and from Belgrade to Podgorica and Tivat. Currently, there are no travel restrictions Between Serbia and Montenegro and a negative PCR test is not required. Air Serbia will operate their Montenegrin routes with Airbus A319/320s.
