On Wednesday (March 20, 2024), Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced the lease placement of two Airbus A321neos with Transavia.  The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in late 2025 and early 2026, and will join seven other A321neos currently on lease with the carrier from ALC.  The first ALC A321neo was delivered to the Dutch carrier in December 2023, and was the first of the type to join Transavia’s fleet.  In addition to the total of nine A321neos ALC has leased to the carrier, ALC also has 10 Boeing 737-800s on long-term lease to Transavia.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Air Lease Corporation’s Executive Chairman, Steven F. Udvar-Házy, said,

“ALC is pleased to announce this transaction for two additional Airbus A321neo aircraft with Transavia.  Our nine A321-200neo aircraft will offer significant enhancements and efficiency to the airline’s fleet operations, as demonstrated by the first ALC A321neo that delivered to Transavia last year.”

Transavia is a low-cost carrier (LCC) that has been in operation for the past 50 years, and is part of the Air France-KLM Group.  The carrier operates from the Netherlands and France,  serving 110 destinations across Europe and North Africa.

Based in Los Angeles, California, Air Lease Corporation (NYSE: AL) is a leading global aircraft leasing company.  The ALC team is principally involved in the purchase of commercial aircraft and leasing them to airlines worldwide with customized leasing and financing solutions.  At June 30, 2023, the company had a globally diversified customer base of 118 airlines across 63 countries.
