Air Lease Corporation has delivered one new Airbus A321-200neo LR to Air Astana on a long-term lease. The aircraft features Pratt & Whitney PW1133G engines and is the fifth of the type delivered to Air Astana from ALC’s order book with Airbus.
On Monday (April 12, 2021), Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced the delivery of one new Airbus A321-200neo LR to Air Astana. The aircraft is the fifth of the type delivered on long-term lease to the carrier from ALC’s order book with Airbus. Air Astana’s new A321LR features Pratt & Whitney PW1133G engines. Additionally, Air Astana currently has one A320-200, two A320-200neos and one A321-200neo on long-term lease from ALC.
In Monday’s announcement, Air Lease Corporation’s Executive Chairman, Steven F. Udvar-Házy, said,
“ALC is pleased to deliver this fifth A321-200neo LR aircraft to Air Astana today. Our team has been thrilled to assist the airline with their long-term fleet modernization program.”
Also commenting on the new aircraft delivery, Air Astana’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Foster, added,
“We are pleased to have taken delivery of our fifth A321LR from our partners at ALC. The LR, with its improved range, lower emissions and outstanding two class configuration, including a 16 lie-flat seat Business Class cabin, is proving immensely popular with customers and crews alike, as we expand our international network following last year’s significant reduction.”
