Air Lease Corporation Announces the Placement of One Airbus A321neo with Sun PhuQuoc Airways

Air Lease Corporation has today announced the placement of one new Airbus A321neo on long-term lease to Vietnamese carrier Sun PhuQuoc Airways.  The aircraft is scheduled to be delivered to the airline startup in 2027.

On Tuesday (October 28, 2025), Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced the signing of a long-term lease agreement with Vietnamese startup Sun PhuQuoc Airways for one Airbus A320neo.  The aircraft is scheduled for delivery to the carrier in 2027.  Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA) is a full-service airline under Sun Group, one of Vietnam’s leading multi-industry corporations in tourism, aviation, and infrastructure.  SPA plans on connecting Vietnam’s key destinations and international hubs, with Phu Quoc Island as their strategic hub.  Guided by their ‘Resort in the Sky’ service philosophy, Sun PhuQuoc Airways aims to create seamless journeys from the sky to the ground, all made possible through the synergy of Sun Group’s world-class ecosystem of resorts, entertainment, and leisure destinations across Vietnam.


In Tuesday’s announcement, Air Lease Corporation’s SVP, Chi Yan, said,


“We are pleased to lease this new Airbus A321neo to Sun PhuQuoc Airways.  Air Lease looks forward to the continued growth of our relationship with Sun PhuQuoc as the airline builds and optimizes the range and capacity of its new fleet.”


Also commenting on the new lease agreement, Sun PhuQuoc Airways’ CEO, Nguyen Manh, said,


“The addition of this new Airbus A321neo from Air Lease marks an important step in our fleet development plan.  Partnering with AL allows us to expand our fleet with modern, fuel-efficient aircraft that enhance passenger comfort and operational sustainability.  This aligns with our commitment to offering high-quality travel experiences while efficiently connecting Phu Quoc and Vietnam to regional and international destinations.”
