On Tuesday (July 19, 2022), Air France unveiled new Michelin-starred menus created by French chefs Michel Roth and Anne-Sophie Pic for long-haul La Première and Business Class guests from July through October 2022. The menus will be available on long-haul flights departing Paris and include carefully selected seasonal produce, vegetarian products, red and white meats, and fish. With the new menus, Air France continues to offer exceptional French cuisine that is created and delivered in a more responsible and sustainable way.

For guests traveling in La Première, Michelin-starred chef Michel Roth, Bocuse d’or and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, has created a new series of refined, gourmet and resolutely French dishes. Chef Roth has created an appetizer, a starter and eight dishes that will gradually be revealed on the menu of the airline’s most exclusive class. This summer, the La Première cabin will be available on select flights to Los Angeles, Miami, New York-JFK, San Francisco, Washington D.C. (United States), Mexico City (Mexico), Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), Johannesburg (South Africa), Dubai (UAE) and São Paulo (Brazil).

Renowned chef Michel Roth has one of the most prestigious records in French gastronomy, having been named or awarded the Bocuse d’or and Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 1991 and Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur in 2006, as well as several Michelin stars, and the coveted title of ‘Romand de l’année’ with a score of 18/20 in Gault de Millau in 2016. In the course of his career, Michel Roth has worked alongside the greatest French chefs and in prestigious establishments such as L’Espadon at the famous Ritz on Place Vendôme and the Grand Hôtel Président Wilson in Geneva. In 2020, he opened a new Parisian restaurant, LA Table Cachée by Michel Roth in the BHV Marais. In 2022, the chef also took charge of the Baron restaurant at the Château de Ferrieres, in the east of the Paris region.

Air France has continued their collaboration with triple Michelin-starred chef Anne-Sophie Pic, who is creating the carrier’s long-haul Business Class menu. Chef Pic has created eight delicious dishes for the optimum enjoyment of Business Class guests.

After studying management, chef Anne-Sophie Pic returned to her hometown of Valence and dedicated herself to her true passion, cooking. In 1991, she took over her father’s gourmet restaurant, ‘La Maison Pic’, a three Michelin-starred restaurant. Chef Pic also owns other restaurants and is the most starred female chef in the world with 10 Michelin stars. Anne-Sophie Pic’s culinary creations are based on three core values, namely respect, flavor and simplicity. She is also the recipient of other prestigious honors such as the Veuve Cliquot 2011 and San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards, which named her the best female chef in the world.

Air France is committed to providing a more responsible and sustainable catering offer. By the end of 2022, the carrier will use 100 percent French meat, dairy products and eggs, as well as sustainably caught fish, in menus in all cabins on all flights departing Paris. The carrier will also systematically offer vegetarian dishes and all meals will be entirely prepared in France, with a priority on local seasonal produce which has been sustainably farmed. Additionally, the kids’ and infants’ menus will be created exclusively from organically grown produce. In an effort to reduce food waste, Air France will this year make it possible for Business Class guests to pre-select a hot meal prior to departure. The airline is also committed to recycling and eliminating 90 percent of single-use plastic onboard by 2023, and also donates certain onboard items no longer being used to charity.
