On Thursday (March 21, 2024), Air France announced that they will upgrade the range of products on their short and medium haul fleet.  The airline’s HOP! regional subsidiary’s Embraer E190 fleet will receive new seats designed by Expliseat, a French manufacturer of innovative carbon fiber and titanium seats that combine a lightweight and sustainable design with enhanced comfort, durability and functionality.  Customized to Air France’s specifications, the seats will be manufactured and assembled in Angers, France.  Additionally, the entire cabin will be refreshed in Air France colors, from the cabin walls to the carpet.

The carrier’s E190 fleet will be refurbished after the summer season at the HOP! maintenance facility in Clermont-Ferrand, with the first renewed aircraft expected to take flight in Autumn 2024.  The new generation seats will be consistent with the exceptional standards of comfort offered onboard Air France’s Airbus A220 fleet, the jewel in the airline’s short and medium haul network.  The new E190 interiors will be unveiled at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany, which will be held from May 28-30, 2024.
