On Thursday (September 8, 2022) Air France announced the introduction of new comfort kits for Business Class and Premium Economy Class guests traveling on long-haul flights for the next 18 months. The elegant, reusable kits have been developed out of recycled and eco-friendly materials and have been designed as genuine gifts, meant to be kept, collected or reused after the flight. Additionally, the content has been renewed in an effort to continue offering more eco-responsible accessories, and to surprise frequent travelers.

The new Business Class comfort kit features a stylish herringbone pattern and is available in either navy blue or beige, and is constructed of 96 percent recycled material. The kits also feature the winged seahorse, Air France’s historic emblem. The zipper pull is inspired by the use of an accent, the company’s brand symbol. A toothbrush and pen are made from maize straw, while the earplugs are wrapped in kraft paper, to avoid the use of plastic onboard. The kit also includes a large comfortable sleeping mask, a pair of socks and a tube of toothpaste, as well as two cosmetics from Clarins – the rejuvenation hand cream and the Hydra-essentiel moisturizing cooling face gel.

Premium Economy guests will enjoy a sailor-themed comfort kit, featuring the airline’s ‘stripy’ motif. There are two versions available with a mix of deep blue and wide white stripes, and the zipper pull again is reminiscent of the airline’s signature accent. The Premium Economy amenity kit is made from 89 percent recycled materials and contains a toothbrush made from maize straw, a tube of toothpaste, earplugs wrapped in kraft paper, a pair of socks and a night mask.

In all cabins, the kits’ plastic packaging has been replaced by an integrity seal. Additionally, the systemic cleaning and disinfection of headphones have enabled Air France to eliminate single-use earphone covers that were previously offered, along with their packaging. This is part of the airline’s ongoing effort to limit the use of single-use plastic onboard flights where possible.
