Air France has today announced the inauguration of their first Embraer E190 flight operated by their regional subsidiary HOP! with a completely refreshed cabin. Onboard the flight from Paris-CDG to Hamburg, guests enjoyed an elevated travel experience.

On Monday (September 1, 2025), Air France announced the inauguration of their regional carrier HOP!’s first flight from Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to Frankfurt (FRA) with a completely refreshed cabin. Onboard flight AF1602, Business and Economy Class guests enjoyed new, more comfortable seats, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and a bright, elegant cabin. By next summer, all of the carrier’s Embraer E190s will be retrofitted with the elevated cabin experience. This is just the latest advancement in Air France’s continuing upscale move, and the carrier’s commitment to the standardization of their products and services.
Air France HOP!’s newly refreshed Embraer E190s feature 46cm wide ergonomic leather seats, with a generous recline of up to three inches. Customers will also enjoy optimized storage space, an adjustable headrest, comfortable fold-up armrests, and a coat hook, as well as USB A & C ports, and a double cup holder. Additionally, guests will appreciate high-speed Wi-Fi, free of charge by connecting to their Flying Blue account.

Air France partnered with the French manufacturer Expliseat, located in Angers (Maine-et-Loire), along with Andrea Mocellin, a designer known for bespoke products, to deliver the new regional customer experience. The carbon-fiber, titanium, and aluminum seats are both ultra-light and robust, incorporating many recycled elements, helping to promote airline industry sustainability. Each new seat is 30 percent lighter than the current model, thereby cutting fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, reflecting Air France’s ongoing commitment to sustainable aviation.
