Air France has announced the first additions to their winter 2024/25 schedule including service to Salvador in Brazil, Malé in the Maldives, and Kiruna in Sweden. Salvador service will start in October, while Malé and Kiruna flights will commence in December.
On Thursday (May 16, 2024), Air France announced the first new additions to their winter 2024/25 flying program, with five new routes from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), including three new destinations. Starting October 28, 2024, Air France will launch new service from Paris-CDG to Salvador (Bahia State, Brazil). The route will operate three times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays with a 324-seat Airbus A350-900 featuring 34 Business Class, 24 Premium Economy and 266 Economy Class seats. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Salvador will become Air France’s fifth Brazilian destination, complementing existing service to Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Fortaleza, and Bélem via Cayenne, French Guiana. Thanks to the carrier’s commercial partnership with GOL, inbound customers to Brazil can seamlessly connect to 40 destinations across Brazil.
Air France will also launch twice-weekly service between Paris-CDG and Malé in the Maldives, which will operate during the winter holiday season from December 20, 2024, through January 5, 2025. Flights will operate on Fridays and Sundays with a 292-seat Airbus A350-900. The carrier will also launch one weekly flight between Paris-CDG and Kiruna in Sweden starting December 21, 2024. The route will be operated on Saturdays with an Airbus A319. This will be Air France’s fifth destination in the Lapland, joining flights to Rovaniemi and Kittilä in Finland, as well as Tromsø and Narvik Lofoten in Norway.
Additionally, Air France will strengthen their U.S. network for winter 2024/25, with an extension of service from Paris-CDG to Denver, Colorado and Phoenix, Arizona. Both routes will be operated three times weekly. Previously, the Denver route only operated during summer, and the new Phoenix service will be inaugurated on May 23, 2024.
