On Friday (December 13, 2024), Air France KLM Group announced a new partnership with French startup and eSIM technology specialist Kolet, offering customers affordable internet in over 190 countries. Customers can now take advantage of a no-obligation trial offer with up to 1 GB of free data, valid for up to two days, as well as an instant 10 percent discount off of all connection plans. Air France and KLM Flying Blue members will also enjoy additional perks, including the award of 10 miles for ever euro spent on a pre-paid Kolet data plan, as well as a referral bonus of 250 miles for each friend or family member who purchases their first data plan with Kolet.
In Friday’s announcement, Air France KLM’s General Manager – North Europe and CIS, said,
“We are very pleased to be able to offer our customers the opportunity to set up internet access as soon as they land at their destination. With this new partnership, we will help our customers stay connected and accessible in over 190 countries, while avoiding the high costs of data roaming when using their mobile abroad.”
Customers can purchase their pre-paid Kolet data plans by visiting the Air France or KLM websites, or by downloading the Kolet app and installing their eSIM using the code AFKDATA.
Founded in 2024 by Eduardo Ronzano, Anne-Carole Cöen, Jérémy Gotteland and Mehdi Chraibi, Kolet is emerging as a leading specialist in the burgeoning eSIM market. While customers previously faced exorbitant connectivity costs when accessing the internet abroad, Kolet’s eSIM technology allows travelers to remain connected in over 190 countries without breaking the budget. Users can keep their phone number while using Kolet eSIM mobile data after easily configuring the eSIM card in device settings. An eSIM is a digital SIM card that must be installed on a customer’s own eSIM-enabled device. Please note that Kolet data plans offer mobile data without the option of voice calls.
