Starting February 11, 2024, Air Dolomiti will launch new service between Frankfurt and London City Airport. The route will operate six times weekly during the winter season with a 108-seat Embraer E190 in codeshare with Lufthansa.
On Thursday (November 23, 2023), Air Dolomiti, the Italian airline of the Lufthansa Group, announced the launch of new service between Frankfurt (FRA) and London City Airport (LCY) starting February 11, 2023. The route will operate six times weekly Monday through Friday and also on Sunday for the winter season in codeshare with Lufthansa. From Frankfurt, Air Dolomiti also serves a number of airports in Italy, including Verona, Turin, Florence, Pisa Trieste and Milan (Linate and Malpensa).
In Thursday’s announcement, Air Dolomiti’s CEO, Steffen Harbarth, said,
“I am pleased with the new connection that allows us to reach this important British Metropolis by operating on a strategic airport, used especially by business travelers to London. This new route confirms the Group’s trust in Air Dolomiti giving continuity to the development on European routes and further enhancing the process of complete harmonization of the parent company’s operations.”
Air Dolomiti’s Frankfort-London City route will be operated with a 108-seat Embraer E190 for a total of 11 weekly frequencies, complementing a further 10 frequencies operated by Lufthansa Group. The new service to London City, along with new service between Frankfurt and Geneva, further enriches Air Dolomiti’s European network from Frankfurt, which includes service to Graz, Linz, Innsbruck, Dresden, Katowice, Luxembourg and Wroclaw. The carrier also offers service from Munich Airport (MUC) to Cluj, Geneva, Lyon, Nice Orly and Graz.
