Air Dolomiti Introduces ‘SpazioItaliaBar’ A New Onboard Service for Economy Class Guests

Air Dolomiti has announced the introduction of a new onboard service for Economy Class guests called ‘SpazioItaliaBar’, which will be available from mid-December. The new service will allow each passenger to choose a menu at a reasonable cost.

On Monday (December 6, 2021), Air Dolomiti, the Italian airline of the Lufthansa Group, announced the launch of ‘SpazioItaliaBar’, a new onboard service in Economy Class which allows guests to choose a menu at a reasonable cost. The service will launch in mid-December and includes a carefully curated range of top-quality products that will elevate the inflight experience. The menu will feature fresh dishes created by Italian chefs, quick snacks accompanied by a wide range of hot and cold drinks and a selection of red, white and sparkling wines. Air Dolomiti has selected partners from important Italian brands with a focus on taste, quality and sustainability, including environmentally friendly packaging. For SpazioItaliaBar, Air Dolomiti is collaborating with Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe (JRE) and others for the preparation of fresh dishes. The desserts will be created by Pasticceria Biasetto and the coffee served at high altitude will be from Illy.


In Monday’s announcement, Air Dolomiti’s Director General Operations & Accountable Manager, Alberto Casamatti, said,


Our choice puts the preferences of the passenger first, With this new service, we will be able to offer a wide range of top-quality products that will alternate over the months and satisfy different food preferences of our passengers.”


Also commenting on the new onboard service, Air Dolomiti Deutschland GmbH’s Managing Director & Vice President Business Development, Product, and ICT, Dario Bruni, said,


“This important improvement in the passenger experience is the result of months of intensive work. SpazioItaliaBar will allow Air Dolomiti to offer a better and individual on-board product, while reducing impact on the environment. Through this, we emphasize our commitment to offering the best possible quality to our passengers.”


Air Dolomiti was founded in 1991 with the goal of connecting the main Italian airports to Germany, especially Munich and Frankfurt. In 2019, the airline carried over 2.5 million passengers, operating multi-day frequencies to Italian and European destinations. Air Dolomiti operates a fleet of 15 Embraer E195s and prides itself on being an efficient and reliable airline that puts customers first. The airline’s fare plan provides five different options including three economy and two business fares, which allows guests to select the set of services that best suits their needs.
