On Thursday (September 4, 2025), Airbus announced that Air Côte d’Ivoire, the national flag carrier of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, has taken delivery of their first of two Airbus A330-900 aircraft. This is the first widebody aircraft in the carrier’s fleet, and features four First Class seats, 44 in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy, and 173 in Economy Class. Air Côte d’Ivoire is the leading airline in West and Central Africa, serving 22 destinations across the continent. The A330-900 fleet will play a key role in Air Côte d’Ivoire’s expansion plans to Europe, starting with Paris, then to destinations in the Middle-East and North America.
The Airbus A330neo features the award-winning Airspace cabin, offering a unique experience, with a high level of comfort, ambiance, and design. This includes more individual space, larger overhead bins, a new lighting system, and access to the latest IFE and connectivity systems. Air Côte d’Ivoire's first A330neo delivery flight from Toulouse to Abidjan transported five tonnes of humanitarian goods, which will directly support initiatives within the health and education sectors in Abidjan.
As of July 30, 2025, the Airbus A330 Family had won over 1,920 firm orders from more than 130 customers worldwide. As with all in-production Airbus aircraft, the A330neo can currently operate with up to 50 percent blended Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Airbus is targeting to have their aircraft up to 100 percent SAF capable by 2030.
