Air Canada to Resume Service to Lima, Adds Three New Destinations in Central America and Mexico

Air Canada has today announced an expansion of their winter 2025/26 schedule. The carrier will resume flights to Lima from Montreal and Toronto, and will also add new service to Belize, Puerto Escondido, and Tepic, Riviera Nayarit.

On Wednesday (July 9, 2025), Air Canada announced an expansion of their winter 2025/36 flying program, with the restart of nonstop twice-weekly service to Lima (Peru) from both Montreal and Toronto. Additionally, the carrier will serve three new hotspots in Central America and Mexico, including flights between Montreal and Belize, from Toronto to Puerto Escondido, and between Vancouver and Tepic, Riviera Nayarit.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Air Canada’s EVP & Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Galardo, said,
“Air Canada is further diversifying its global network this winter under its New Frontiers Strategy by capitalizing on strong leisure demand to sought-after vacation destinations in South and Central America and in Mexico’s Oaxaca and Pacific coast areas. Our new flights are designed to provide easy connections for both Canadian and European travellers, as well as to take advantage of cargo opportunities in the region.

For the upcoming winter season, Air Canada will offer over 80,000 weekly seats on more than 55 daily flights to 52 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean, marking the largest number of sun destinations served by the carrier ever.
