Air Canada’s Aeroplan loyalty program's partnership with Parkland has launched, adding over 1,100 new locations for Aeroplan and JOURNIE™ Rewards members to earn and redeem points.
On Wednesday (November 15, 2023) Air Canada announced that their Aeroplan loyalty program's new partnership with Parkland has officially launched, adding more than 1,100 new locations for Aeroplan and JOURNIE™ Rewards members to earn and redeem points. Starting today, members can begin earning and redeeming points across Canada at Ultramar, Chevron, Pioneer, Fas Gas, On the Run and Marché Express locations. The partnership, originally announced last April, brings together two Canadian loyalty giants to offer members increased earning and redemption power, including up to 3X loyalty points when they link their Aeroplan and JOURNIE™ Rewards accounts.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Air Canada’s VP – Loyalty and Product, Scott O’Leary, said,
“Aeroplan is thrilled to be partnering with Parkland and JOURNIETM Rewards. Together we're excited to give our members more choice, and more ways to get rewarded at every fill-up.”
Also commenting on the new loyalty partnership, Parkland’s SVP – Strategic Marketing and Innovation, Uwe Stueckmann, added,
“We are delighted to welcome Aeroplan members to our national network of retail, fuel and convenience stores. The JOURNIE™ and Aeroplan partnership allows members of both programs a seamless way to turn everyday fuel and convenience purchases into meaningful rewards.”
Starting today, Aeroplan members whose accounts are not linked to JOURNIE™ Rewards will earn one Aeroplan point per 3-litre fuel purchase, and one Aeroplan point for every $1 spend on eligible convenient store purchases. Additionally, members can redeem 3,500 Aeroplan points for $25 Parkland fuel branded gift cards via the Aeroplan eStore.
Aeroplan members who have linked their account to JOURNIE™ Rewards will earn up to 3X more points compared to non-linked members, including 300 Aeroplan points for every 300-point JOURNIE™ Rewards tier, which is equivalent to one Aeroplan point per 1-litre fuel purchase and two points per $1 spend on eligible in-store purchases. Linked members can also redeem 300 Aeroplan points for a $0.07 off per litre for a single fill-up (up to 50 litres) and combine up to five vouchers for up to $0.35 off per litre. Additionally, linked members can redeem 1,200 Aeroplan points for a $15.99 Premium Car wash, or redeem 500 Aeroplan points for $5 in-store purchase vouchers.
