Air Canada Adds Four New Destinations and 13 New Routes to Latin America for Winter 2025/26

Air Canada will add 16 percent more capacity to Latin America for the winter 2025/26 season with four new destinations and 13 new routes. The new destinations include Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena, Guatemala City, and Guadalajara.

On Monday (May 5, 2025), Air Canada announced an expansion of their Latin American Network for the winter 2025/26 season with 16 percent more capacity, four new destinations, and 13 new routes. The four new destinations include Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena, Guatemala City, and Guadalajara, while the 13 new routes include service to Santiago, Pointe-a-Pitre, Fort-de-France, Nassau, Montego Bay, and Huatulco. Customers will enjoy connectivity from Halifax and Ottawa to Nassau and Montego Bay, and between Vancouver and Huatulco. Additionally, the carrier will offer service from Quebec City to Fort-de-France, as well as from Montreal to Santiago, Cartagena, and Guatemala City. From Toronto, Air Canada will serve Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena, Pointe-à-Pitre, and Guadalajara.
In Monday’s announcement, Air Canada’s EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, and President, Air Canada Cargo, Mark Galardo, said,

We are excited to be adding Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena, Guatemala City and Guadalajara to our global network, and increasing service to Santiago with new flights from Montreal. Our Latin America winter schedule has been built to serve both Canadian and global Sixth Freedom connecting travellers, as well as capitalize on growing cargo opportunities.
“We are also very pleased to add new winter routes from Halifax, Quebec City, Ottawa and Vancouver, to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Mexico, and increase capacity to popular sun vacation destinations.

For Winter 2025/26, Air Canada will offer over 55 daily flights and more than 80,000 seats to Latin America, more than any other Canadian airline.
