Starting January 30, 2025, Air Arabia will launch new nonstop service between Sharjah (UAE) and Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). The route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
On Tuesday (January 7, 2025), Air Arabia announced the launch of new direct service between Sharjah International Airport in the UAE and Addis Ababa Bole International Airport in Ethiopia. Starting January 30, 2025, the route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with an Airbus A320 Family Aircraft. Flight G9 738 will depart Sharjah at 21:25, arriving in Addis Ababa at 00:40. The return flight, G9 739, departs Addis Ababa at 01:30 and touches down back in Sharjah at 06:40 (all times local).
In Tuesday’s announcement, Air Arabia Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Adel Al Ali, said,

This new route reflects Air Arabia’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and fostering economic and cultural ties between the UAE and Ethiopia. By expanding our destinations from Sharjah, we aim to boost trade and tourism while continuing to offer affordable and convenient travel options to our customers.”
