On Wednesday (July 16, 2025), Air Arabia announced that Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will increase operational capacity by 40 percent this year, which has been made possible by the addition of two new Airbus A320s, with two more expected by year-end 2025, expanding the carrier’s fleet to 14 aircraft. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s recent network expansion includes new routes to Yerevan, Almaty, and Sialkot. The airline now connects Abu Dhabi with nonstop service to over 30 destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, and Eastern Europe.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Air Arabia’s CEO, Adel Al Ali, said,
“The addition of new aircraft and our strategic fleet expansion reflect our ongoing commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and expanding our network reach. This growth supports the rising demand for air travel to and from Abu Dhabi. The planned capacity increase in 2025 will further contribute to the capital’s broader economic and tourism vision while continuing to offer value-driven air travel to our customers.”
Since its launch in 2020 as the UAE’s first low-cost carrier (LCC), Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has emerged as a key enabler of air connectivity from the UAE capital, providing their guests with affordable and reliable air travel. The carrier currently operates a modern fleet of 12 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, the most modern and best-selling single aisle aircraft in the world. Offering guests a value-added onboard experience, the aircraft are equipped with ‘SkyTime’, the carrier’s free inflight streaming service, and ‘SkyCafe’ an onboard catering service at reasonable prices.
