Aeromexico Inks Codeshare Agreement with LATAM Brazil and LATAM Colombia

As part of the new codeshare agreement, customers will be able to earn or redeem Premier Points and frequent flyers will enjoy access to VIP lounges of both carriers in Mexico City and Bogota. LATAM will also relocate to Terminal 2 at Mexico City International Airport.

On Tuesday (November 3, 2020), Aeromexico announced the launch of a new codeshare agreement with LATAM Airlines Colombia and LATAM Airlines Brazil. The new partnership will allow customers of all three carriers to earn and redeem miles or Premier Points across all networks and frequent flyers will also enjoy access to VIP lounges of both airlines in Mexico City and Bogota. At the end of 2020, LATAM will also relocate to Terminal 2 at Mexico City International Airport, joining Aeromexico for seamless connectivity. Aeromexico customers can now book codeshared flights on LATAM Airlines Colombia’s network to 14 destinations including Bogota, Medellin, Cali and Cartagena. Travelers will also enjoy new codeshared LATAM Airlines Brazil flights to up to 40 destinations from São Paulo such as Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and Porto Alegre. In Tuesday’s announcement, Aeromexico’s CCO, Nicolas Ferri, said,


“This agreement is in direct response to the needs of our clients, offering better connectivity and service options. With LATAM, Aeromexico has a new partner with shared values, which prioritize the health and safety of its customers and employees.”


Also commenting on the new codeshare agreement, LATAM Airlines Group’s CCO, Marty St, George, added,


"These agreements are a sign of LATAM's long-term commitment to Latin American connectivity. With Aeromexico, we share a passion for service and innovation. We are committed to offering a leading experience to customers across the continent.”


As part of the codeshare agreement, customers of LATAM Airline will enjoy connectivity to 39 domestic Aeromexico destinations from Mexico City such as Cancun, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Tijuana and Los Cabos.
