AerCap Holdings Reports Third Quarter 2025 Net Profit of $1.2 Billion or $6.98 per Share

AerCap has reports a third quarter 2025 net profit of $1.2 billion or $6.98 per share on a year-over-year increase in revenue of 19 percent to $2.3 billion, a company record.

On Wednesday (October 29, 2025), AerCap Holdings N.V. reported their third quarter financial results for the period ending September 30, 2025. The company reported a third quarter net profit of $1.2 billion or $6.98 per share on a 19 percent year-over-year increase in revenue to $2.3 billion. During the second quarter, AerCap returned $1.0 billion to shareholders through the repurchase of 8.2 million shares at an average price of $119.95/share, taking total year-to-date share repurchases to $2.0 billion.
In Wednesday’s announcement, AerCap’s CEO, Aengus Kelly, said,
“AerCap produced excellent results in the third quarter. We generated record adjusted net income and adjusted EPS and sold $1.5 billion of assets, producing gains on sale of $332 million, our highest amount ever for a quarter. This strong performance is indicative of the continued favorable environment for leasing and sales and of AerCap’s industry-leading position. In addition, during the third quarter we recovered another $475 million related to assets lost in the Ukraine Conflict, bringing total recoveries since 2023 to $2.9 billion. On the back of these strong results and our positive outlook for the future, we are raising our full-year 2025 adjusted EPS guidance to approximately $13.70.”
In October 2025, AerCap completed a purchase agreement with Airbus for 52 A320neo Family aircraft and 45 options. The company also received certification on the new Boeing 777-300ERSF Passenger-to-Freighter converted aircraft, and delivered the first four of the type to Kalitta Air. At September 30, 2025, AerCap’s portfolio included 3,536 aircraft, engines and helicopters that were owned, on order or managed. The average age of the lessor’s owned aircraft fleet as of September 30, 2025 was 7.8 years (5.3 years for new technology aircraft, 15.7 years for current technology aircraft), with an average remaining contracted lease term of 7.1 years.]
