AerCap Holdings Reports First Quarter 2025 Net Profit of $643 Million or $3.43 per Share

AerCap Holding N.V. has reported a first quarter 2025 net profit of $643 million or $3.43 per share on a year-over-year increase in revenue of 3.0 percent to $2.1 billion.

On Wednesday (April 30, 2025), AerCap Holdings N.V. reported their first quarter financial results for the period ending March 31, 2025. The company reported a first quarter net profit of $643 million or $3.43 per share on a 3.0 percent year-over-year increase in revenue to $2.1 billion. AerCap’s first quarter basic lease rents totaled $1.65 billion, up from $1.6 billion during the same period last year. Maintenance rents and other revenues totaled $146 million, down from $170 million during Q1 2024. The company’s first quarter net gain on sales of assets was $177, relating to 35 assets sold for $683 million. Other Q1 income totaled $105 million, up from $93 million during the same period in 2024. AerCap ended Q1 2025 with $1.27 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and restricted cash.
In Wednesday’s announcement, AerCap’s Chief Executive Officer, Aengus Kelly, said,
“AerCap produced another strong performance for the first quarter of 2025. We continue to benefit from strong demand for our aviation assets, as well as a robust sales market. Given these strong results, we have increased our 2025 full-year EPS guidance and announced a new $500 million share repurchase program.”
At March 31, 2025, AerCap’s portfolio included 3,508 owned ordered or managed aircraft, engines and helicopters. The average age of company owned aircraft was 7.5 years (4.9 for new technology aircraft, 15.2 years for previous generation aircraft), with an average remaining contracted lease term of 7.3 years.
