Aer Lingus to Resume Direct Service Between Dublin and San Francisco From February 25, 2022

Aer Lingus will restart nonstop service between Dublin and San Francisco from February 25, 2022, offering Ireland’s only direct service on the route. The carrier will offer four weekly flights, increasing to daily service from March 26, 2022.

On Tuesday (February 22, 2022), Aer Lingus announced the restart of direct service between Dublin and San Francisco with four weekly flights starting February 25th, increasing to daily service from March 26, 2022. The carrier operates 14 direct routes between North America and Ireland, including service to New York, Miami, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando, Washington, Seattle and Philadelphia. Aer Lingus is currently offering promotional return fares on all U.S. routes from €189. The airline will also offer daily service to Los Angeles from May 12th, as well as five weekly flights to Seattle from May 26th. Additionally, Aer Lingus will also offer 14 weekly flights to Boston and New York from Shannon starting March 10, 2022.

In Tuesday’s announcment, Aer Lingus’ Executive Vice President – U.S., Bill Byrne, said,


“We are delighted to resume the Dublin to San Francisco service and to unite friends, families and businesses once more, reconnecting our communities and economies. There’s no doubt that travel is back for 2022, and we are busy preparing operations for further route restarts. As always, customers flying to North America with Aer Lingus will enjoy complimentary meals and drinks, endless hours of in-flight entertainment, and US Customs and Border pre-clearance at Dublin and Shannon airports.”


Aer Lingus has partnered with VeriFLY to simplify the travel experience. By downloading the VeriFLY app and uploading COVID-19 documentation, Aer Lingus customers can ensure everything is verified before arrival at the airport for departure. The carrier’s ‘Book with Confidence’ policy also allows customers to change flights as many times as they want free of charge, up to seven days prior to travel (a fare difference may apply). The flexible booking policy is available on all booking through September 30, 2022. Additionally, most fares include the option to exchange for a guaranteed voucher up to 14 days before travel, and guests who book Advantage, Flex, Business or Business Flex fares have the option of a cash refund if they decide not to travel.
