On Wednesday (May 21, 2025), Aer Lingus announced the launch of new nonstop service between Dublin and CancĂșn, Mexico.  The route will operate three times weekly from January 6th through April 2026 with a widebody Airbus A330-300, offering Irish holidaymakers a seamless connection to the warmth and vibrant culture of the Mexican Riviera.  With its balmy weather, golden beaches, and crystal-clear waters, CancĂșn has long been a popular destination for Irish travelers.  Beyond stunning landscapes and historical intrigue, CancĂșn offers Irish foodies the opportunity to savour authentic Mexican cuisine.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Aer Lingus’ CEO, Lynne Embleton, said,

“Our new direct route from Dublin to CancĂșn introduces a vibrant new destination to our network and further increases Aer Lingus’ winter sun offering.  Our research highlights a strong appetite amongst customers for new travel experiences, particularly seasonal destinations beyond the peak summer period.  Mexico, with its tropical climate, caters to the growing consumer demand for winter sun, while also offering a rich blend of history, culture, and cuisine.”
