Emerald Airlines will increase winter 2022/23 capacity, including new daily flights from Dublin to Southampton and Aberdeen from October 30, 2022. With the additional services, the exclusive Aer Lingus Regional carrier will offer flights on 22 routes.
On Thursday (September 8, 2022), Emerald Airlines, the excusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional, announced that they will add new routes, new aircraft, and expand services for the winter 2022/23 season. The carrier will add new daily service from Dublin to both Southampton and Aberdeen starting October 30, 2022, expanding their network to a total of 22 routes. The ATR 72-600 forms the backbone of Emerald Airlines’ growing fleet and has an average age of only 6 years. The latest generation turboprop, the ATR 72-600 offers unmatched environmental and economic performance, delivering an ultra-low fuel burn and 40 percent less CO2 emissions compared to similarly sized regional jets on short-haul routes.
In today’s announcment, Emerald Airlines’ Head of Commercial, Ciarán Smith, said,
