On Thursday (July 17, 2025), Aer Lingus announced the launch of three new routes for the winter 2025/26 season. The carrier will launch new service from Cork to Geneva and Prague, as well as from Dublin to Turin, located in the heart of Italy’s Piedmont region. Visitors to Turin will enjoy convenient access to world class ski resorts such as Via Lattea (The Milky Way), one of Europe’s largest ski areas, along with Pila, located in the Aosta Valley, and Bardonecchia, a hidden gem offering some of the best value skiing in the Alps. In addition to skiing, Turin offers visitors a vibrant culture and exceptional cuisine. As Italy’s first capital, Turin’s rich heritage shines through in elegant boulevards, baroque architecture, and regal landmarks like Palazzo Reale and Palazzo Madama. Flights between Dublin and Turin will operate once weekly on Sundays from December 21, 2025 through March 29, 2026.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Aer Lingus’ Chief Customer Officer, Susanne Carberry, said,
“Aer Lingus’ three new winter routes expand our network and offer new winter escape destinations for our customers flying from both Dublin and Cork. Winter breaks or ‘coolcations’ are growing in popularity among Irish consumers, and we’re delighted to respond to this trend by offering greater choice and convenience for seasonal travel across the continent this year.”
As previously mentioned, customers flying out of Cork will have new access to Geneva and Prague. Geneva is a convenient gateway to the renowned ski resorts of Morzine and Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, known for its legendary off-piste runs, including the famous Vallée Blanche. In the city, visitors can admire the iconic Jet d’Eau fountain, climb the tower of St. Pierre Cathedral, or check the time at the blooming L'horloge Fleurie (Flower Clock) - a tribute to the city's watchmaking heritage. Flights between Cork and Geneva will operate once weekly on Saturdays from December 20, 2025 through March 28, 2026.
Prague is often described as an open-air museum of European architecture, and features iconic landmarks such as Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, and the vibrant Old Town Square, home to the world-famous Astronomical Clock. Visitors will also enjoy the city’s festive outdoor markets, which serve local delicacies such as hot strudel, gingerbread, roasted chestnuts, and spicy warm wine (known as 'svařák' in Czech). Winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy Špindlerův Mlýn, the Czech Republic’s premier ski resort, which is located nearby in the Krkonoše Mountains. Flights from Cork to Prague will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays from October 23, 2025 through March 26, 2026.
Flights on all of the new routes are now bookable with one-way fares from only €49.99, including taxes, charges and carrier fees.
