On Tuesday (May 22, 2024), Aer Lingus announced the opening of ticket sales for new service between Dublin and Las Vegas, Nevada.  Starting October 25, 2024, the route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with an Airbus A330-300 until April 29, 2025.  Las Vegas offers spectacular shows and concerts, as well as thrilling sport events such as the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix, and breathtaking natural attractions like the majestic Grand Canyon.  With an entertainment scene made famous by the legacy of Elvis Presley, visitors will enjoy winter entertainment by popular artists such as Garth Brooks or Adele, or take in a Cirque du Soleil or Jersey Boys show.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Aer Lingus’ Chief Executive Officer, Lynne Embleton, said,

“Aer Lingus is bringing this iconic destination to Irish customers seeking an escape to the winter sun.  In addition to the warm climate, Las Vegas is renowned for being one of the greatest entertainment capitals in the world, famous for its shows, concerts, sports events and natural wonders. It is a long-held ambition of ours to fly to Las Vegas.  The launch of this new Aer Lingus route is a significant moment for us and our customers.”

Also commenting on Aer Lingus’ new service to Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s CEO, Steve Hill, added,

“On behalf of all of Las Vegas, we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Aer Lingus to Las Vegas for the very first time.  In 2023, our city welcomed more than 52,000 visitors from Ireland, and this direct, nonstop service from Dublin will undoubtedly be motivation for Irish travelers and visitors throughout Europe to discover everything Las Vegas has to offer.  We congratulate Aer Lingus on this expansion and look forward to a very successful partnership.”

Las Vegas also serves as a major hub for conferences and conventions such as CES, attracting industry leaders from around the world.  Aer Lingus has timed their Las Vegas flights to facilitate seamless connections from Manchester, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Amsterdam and Düsseldorf.  Return fares from Dublin to Las Vegas start at €499, including taxes and fees.  Onboard, guests will enjoy the carrier’s newly enhanced high speed Wi-Fi, and IFE catalog that has been expanded by a third, with more blockbuster movies and documentaries, as well as the latest TV shows.
