Wizz Air will establish a new base in Naples, their sixth Italian base, with 18 new international and domestic routes. The carrier will base two Airbus A321s in Naples in August and September and the new routes will complement eight currently operating routes.
On Tuesday (June 15, 2021), Wizz Air announced the launch of their sixth Italian base in Naples. The carrier will launch 18 new international and domestic routes in nine countries, complementing eight existing routes from Naples. Between August and September, Wizz will base two Airbus A321neos at the new base. Wizz has served Italy since 2004 and has carried over 40 million passengers on over 200 routes to and from the country in the last 17 years. Naples is the airline’s 44th base, and joins Italian bases at Milan-Malpensa, Catania, Palermo, Bari and Rome-Fiumicino. The Milan base will create over 30 direct jobs and more than 1,100 jobs in associated industries. To celebrate the launch of the new base, Wizz is offering introductory one-way fares from only €9.99 to €39.99.
