In collaboration with their testing partner LifeLabs, WestJet guests traveling to Hawaii from Ontario can book a COVID-19 test online at a participating Shoppers Drug Mart across Ontario, while BC travelers can book their test through a LifeLabs partner clinic.
On Monday (December 7, 2020), WestJet announced an expansion of their preflight COVID-19 testing program for flights to Hawaii for guests traveling from Ontario and British Columbia. In collaboration with LifeLabs, customers traveling from Ontario can book State of Hawaii approved departure testing online at a participating Shippers Drug Mart location across Ontario. LifeLabs FlyClear program allows travelers to avoid Hawaii’s mandatory 14-day quarantine program by providing a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to departure. In yesterday’s announcement, WestJet’s Vice President – Safety, Security and Quality, Billy Nolen, said,
“WestJet is pleased to facilitate additional pre-departure travel testing across Ontario in time for the start of our Hawaii flying from Calgary and Vancouver. COVID-19 testing is key to ensuring safe and confident travel. We are pleased to be working with LifeLabs and select Shoppers Drug Mart locations to offer testing approved by the State of Hawaii for our Ontario-based guests.”
Also commenting on the preflight testing expansion, LifeLabs President and CEO, Charles Brown added,

Shoppers Drug Mart’s Executive Vice President – Pharmacy and Healthcare, Ashesh Desai, further stated,

Through this program, we can help WestJet guests fly safely and with confidence, a first start as we find ways to safely reopen the economy.”
WestJet customers traveling to Hawaii from Ontario can book their preflight tests for $199 (plus tax) at LifeLabs.com/FlyClear.
In a separate announcement on Monday, WestJet announced a similar collaboration with LifeLabs for guests traveling to Hawaii from British Columbia. BC customers can book their preflight test for $250 (plus tax) by visiting WestJet.com/covidtesting. Last month, WestJet announced twice-weekly nonstop service from Vancouver to Honolulu and Maui for their December 2020 schedule. The carrier will also offer nonstop Dreamliner service from Calgary to Honolulu and Maui in partnership with DynaLife.
