On Friday (February 26, 2021), United Airlines announced the launch of seamless intermodal connectivity from their hub at Denver International Airport (DEN) to Breckenridge (QKB) and Fort Collins (FNL), Colorado. In Partnership with Landline, a premium ground transportation company, United will offer daily service to Breckenridge starting March 11th. Service to Fort Collins will be available four times daily from April 1, 2021. The new partnership marks the first time Breckenridge has been served by an airline and the first time Fort Collins has been serviced by a global network carrier in 25 years. Starting today, customers can book tickets to either destinations by selecting Breckenridge or Fort Collins as their destination.

In Friday’s announcement, United Airlines’ Vice President of Domestic Network Planning and Scheduling, Ankit Gupta, said,

“United's new service from Denver to Breckenridge and Fort Collins is just one example of how we are identifying opportunities to innovate our route network to get people where they want to go with ease and convenience. Our customers tell us that national parks and ski destinations are important to them and we are proud to partner with Landline to offer a unique, seamless way to help them get there.”

Also commenting on the new intermodal partnership, Landline’s co-founder and CEO, David Sunde, said,

“With this new service, customers can start their day anywhere in United's global network and arrive slope side in Breckenridge minutes from the main gondola. At the same time, in Fort Collins we are creating global connectivity for the first time in 25 years. These new routes exemplify our mission to redefine the airport by making it mobile and multimodal. We could not be more thrilled to have United's commitment to innovation and passion for customer service backing this new endeavor.”

Landline’s co-founder & President, Ben Munson, added,

“We have worked closely with the United team to create a stress-free connecting experience in Denver. Customers will love our spacious leather seating, onboard streaming entertainment and free Wi-Fi.”

United guests connecting to Breckenridge or Fort Collins at Denver will transfer to Landline service from an assigned gate in Concourse A (remaining in the secure airside of the terminal) and checked baggage will be transferred directly from the aircraft to the bus. For added peace of mind, United and Landline are implementing a comprehensive set of cleaning and safety measures which have been reviewed by the Cleveland Clinic. Some of the measures include back-to-front boarding, reduced seating capacity, mandatory use of masks, electrostatic spraying and the implementation of the OEM’s (Prevost) UV disinfection air filtration system.

United Airlines’ shared purpose is ‘Connecting People. Uniting the World.’ Shares in the company’s parent, United Airlines Holdings, Inc., are publicly traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol ‘UAL’.
