United Airlines Launches New Service to Split, Bari, Glasgow and Santiago de Compostela

United Airlines has today announced the launch of four new summer 2026 routes, including service to Split, Croatia, Bari in Italy, Glasgow, Scotland, and Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

On Tuesday (April 28, 2026), United Airlines announced that they will kick off their summer schedule with service to new European destinations in Croatia, Italy, Scotland and Spain. Starting April 30th, the carrier will launch four new routes from New York/Newark (EWR), including their first-ever service to Split in Croatia, with three weekly flights. On May 1st, the carrier will also launch four weekly flights from Newark to Bari, Italy, followed by daily service to Glasgow, Scotland on May 8th. Starting May 27, 2026, United will also launch three weekly flights between Newark and Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Additionally, from May 21, 2026, the airline will start daily nonstop service between Washington-Dulles (IAD) and Reykjavik, Iceland (KEF).
In 2026, United will offer up to 210 flights daily during peak travel times between the U.S. and 36 destinations in Europe, including 14 destinations that no other U.S. network carrier serves. Additionally, United will resume a number of routes introduced in summer 2025, including three weekly flights between Tokyo Narita and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. From New York/Newark, the carrier will also offer four weekly flights to Faro, Portugal, and three weekly flights to Madeira (Portugal), Palermo (Italy), and Bilbao (Spain). Additionally, starting June 6, 2026, United will also offer two weekly flights between Newark and Nuuk (GOH) in Greenland.
