United Airlines announced on Wednesday that in response to customer demand they will add up to 28 daily nonstop flights this winter to Florida from Boston, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, New York (LGA), Pittsburgh and Columbus.

Today (August 12, 2020), United Airlines announced that due to customer demand they will be adding up to 28 daily nonstop flights to four popular Florida destinations from seven U.S. gateways including Boston, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, New York/La Guardia, Pittsburgh and Columbus. The added flights reflect the carrier’s strategy of aggressively managing the impact of the COVID-19 crisis by strategically adding service to high demand destinations. The flights will be increased incrementally from November 6, 2020, with service from Boston, Cleveland and New York (LGA) to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa. United will increase their Florida offer from December 17, 2020 with additional flights from Columbus, Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Pittsburgh to Fort Myers and Tampa.
In Wednesday’s announcement, United Airlines’ Vice President of Domestic Network Planning, Ankit Gupta said,
“The addition of these new flights represents United’s largest expansion of point-to-point, non-hub flying and reflects our data driven approach to add capacity where customers are telling us they want to go. We look forward to offering customers in the Midwest and Northeast more options to fly nonstop to Florida this winter.”
