Turkish Airlines’ New Subsidiary AJET to Commence Flights in March 2024

Turkish Airlines’ new wholly owned subsidiary AJET will take to the skies in March 2024. AnadoluJet, a successful Turkish Airlines brand, will conduct its operations under the name ‘Ajet Air Transportation Inc.’

On Friday (November 24, 2023), Turkish Airlines announced that their new wholly owned subsidiary AJET will take flight in March 2024. The new carrier’s operations will be conducted by AnadoluJet, a successful brand of Turkish Airlines, under the name ‘Ajet Air Transportation Inc.’ AJET has been established as an LCC of global standards and aims to strengthen the Group’s competitive market position, operating from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Ankara Esenboğa Airports.
At a special event held at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport Technic Hangar of Friday (November 24th), Turkish Airlines’ Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, said,
“In line with our goals for the next 10 years, we are proud to have started the establishment process of our AJet. The efforts and dedication we have put in for a long time have paid off, and we will introduce AJet to the skies with the summer schedule at the end of March 2024. We fully believe that AJet, with its new name, will become an important part of the low-cost aviation industry on global scale.”
Turkish Airlines plans on operating Ajet as an eco-friendly low-cost carrier (LCC), offering a simplified single Economy Class configuration, thereby extending air transportation services to a wider audience.
