Transat Appoints Julie Lamontagne as Chief People, Sustainability and Communications Officer

Transat has appointed Julie Lamontagne as Chief People, Sustainability and Communications Officer. Ms. Lamontagne joins Transat from Enerkem, where she has served as Vice President Talent and Culture since 2019.

On Wednesday (February 15, 2023), Transat A.T., Inc. announced the appointment of Julie Montagne as the carrier’s new Chief People, Sustainability and Communications Officer, effective March 13, 2023. In her new role, Ms. Lamontagne will be responsible for developing and deploying corporate culture initiatives, labor relations and talent attraction, retention, and mobilization. Additionally, she will oversee corporate responsibility programs, along with internal and external communications. Julie Lamontagne brings over 20 years of professional H.R. experience, including 12 years in executive roles on management committees.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Transat’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Annick Guérard, said,

Her entrepreneurial approach, business acumen and rich professional background will enable us to develop and promote a work environment that balances the needs of the company and those of its employees. I am convinced that Transat will continue to stand out positively in the job market under her leadership. This is all the more significant given the current competitiveness of the market.”


Also commenting on her upcoming role at Transat, Julie Montagne added,

Ms. Lamontagne joins Transat from Enerkem, a manufacturer of biofuels and renewable chemical products made from non-recyclable waste, where she has served as Vice President, Talent and Culture since 2019. Previously, Montagne served as Vice President at Lumenpulse and EXFO. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Montreal, and is a member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agrees du Québec.
