Sun Country Airlines Launches 16 New Nonstop Routes

The airline’s major route expansion includes the addition of nine airports to their growing network. Sun Country will add nine routes from Minneapolis-St. Paul, two from Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston and one each from San Antonio, Indianapolis and Hartford.

On Monday (January 25, 2021), Sun Country Airlines announced the launch of 16 new nonstop routes and the addition of nine airports to the airline’s growing network. Sun Country will add nine nonstop routes from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP), Two nonstop routes from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and one each from San Antonio International Airport (SAT), Indianapolis International Airport (IND) and Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford, Connecticut.


In Monday’s announcement, Sun Country Airlines’ CEO, Jude Bricker, said,


“We are excited to extend our network and offer people access to even more low-cost vacation options, when they are ready to travel again. The past year has been a challenge for the travel industry but with increased access to COVID-19 tests and vaccinations, we’re starting to see that turnaround.”


Sun Country Airlines welcomes nine airports to their network including Bradley International Airport (BDL), John Wayne Airport (SNA), George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), Glacier Park International Airport (FCA), Fairbanks International Airport (FAI), Jackson Hole Airport (JAC), Indianapolis International Airport (IND), and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).

In addition to 16 new routes, Sun Country is also extending their current schedule through January 14, 2021. The carrier now offers over 50 destinations as well as booking flexibility and the ability to reschedule postponed vacations due to COVID-19. To celebrate the launch of the new routes, Sun Country Rewards members who book travel to any of the new destinations before 11:59 PM CT on Monday, February 1st, 2021, will earn two points per dollar on their bookings.
