Spirit Airlines Celebrates Inaugural Service to San Antonio, Doubles Destinations on Offer

Spirit Airlines today celebrated their inaugural flight to San Antonio International Airport with the launch of daily service to/from Las Vegas and Orlando. From March 8, 2023, the carrier will double their offer from SAT with daily nonstop flights to Baltimore and Fort Lauderdale.

On Thursday (November 17, 2022), Spirit Airlines announced the start of new service to/from San Antonio International Airport (SAT) in Texas with daily nonstop flights to Las Vegas (LAS) and Orlando (MCO). Starting March 8, 2023, Spirit will double their destinations on offer from SAT with new daily service to Baltimore/Washington (BWI) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL). The Spirit Charitable Foundation commemorated the new San Antonio service with a $20,000 donation to Soldiers’ Angels, which supports the distribution of aid, comfort and resources to the military, veterans and families living in San Antonio.



In Thursday’s announcement, Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Guest Experience, Brand & Communications, and President of the Spirit Charitable Foundation, Lania Rittenhouse, said,


“It’s exciting to kick off our new service with plans to grow and give San Antonio travelers even more low-fare options to explore popular vacation destinations. We can’t wait to welcome Guests from San Antonio onboard one of the youngest fleets in the industry and give back to the community through the Spirit Charitable Foundation.”
