Spirit Airlines has appointed Linde Grindle as Chief Human Resources Officer, reporting directly to company President and Chief Executive Officer, Ted Christie. In her new role, Grindle will oversee the attraction, development and retention of top talent.
On Monday (January 17, 2022), Spirit Airlines announced the appointment of Linde Grindle as the carrier’s new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her new position, Grindle will report directly to Spirit’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Ted Christie, and will oversee the company’s Human Resources Department, with a focus on attracting, developing and retaining top talent, while strengthening Spirit’s culture and driving engagement across the airline. Prior to joining Spirit, Ms. Grindle served as Chief Talent Officer at Optum, a unit of UnitedHealth Group. While at Optum, Grindle was credited with transforming the company’s talent acquisition process, designing COVID-19 response strategies and creating various initiatives to improve the employee experience. Prior to joining Optum, Grindle served in human resource and change management roles at Cigna and Accenture.
In today’s announcement, Spirit Airlines’ President and Chief Executive Officer, ted Christie, said,

We plan to double the size of our fleet over the next five years, and Linde is the right transformational leader to spearhead this expansion of our Spirit Family to successfully support our growth.”
Linde Grindle has earned a B.S. in Psychology and a Master of Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
