Singapore Airlines Extends Elite Membership Status, Launches new Program Features

The carrier will automatically extend PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite statuses set to expire between March 2021 and February 2022 by another year. PPS Club Members with expiring Reserve Value will also have validity extended between March 2023 and February 2024.

On Wednesday (January 6, 2021), Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced the extension of PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite statuses set to expire between March 2021 and February 2022 for another year. PPS Members with expiring Reserve Value between March 2021 and February 2023 will also see validity extended to between March 2023 and February 2024. Additionally, for KrisFlyer Elite members, Elite miles earned in the 12 months prior to the latest extension will automatically be credited back to their accounts after membership is extended. Singapore Airlines has also added enhanced features to the KrisFlyer and PPS Club programs.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Singapore Airlines’ Acting Senior Vice President – Marketing Planning, JoAnn Tan, said,


“We are very grateful to our PPS Club and KrisFlyer members for their continued loyalty to Singapore Airlines. Our complimentary membership extension and support measures are our way of recognizing their unwavering support. We have simultaneously expanded and enhanced our program offerings to create even more value for our members as we look forward to the recovery of air travel.”


KrisFlyer has also launched a new initiative called ‘KrisFlyer Membership Rewards’ which rewards members for Elite miles earned on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and Scoot flights. Members can also claim rewards such as KrisPay miles and cabin-class Advance Upgrades onboard SIA and SilkAir starting at only 5,000 Elite miles earned. Starting February 2021, PPS Club members will also enjoy additional benefits on Scoot flights such as priority check-in and boarding, an additional 5g allowance with any purchase, a one-time free booking change and complimentary standard seat selection.
