SAS will add a second weekly flight between Copenhagen and Shanghai on December 16, 2022. Starting January 6, 2023, the carrier will offer two weekly frequencies between Copenhagen and Shanghai on Tuesdays and Fridays, with returns on Thursdays and Sundays.
On Monday (December 12, 2022), SAS announced an increase in frequencies between Copenhagen Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The carrier will operate a second weekly departure on the route on December 16, 2022, with regular twice-weekly flights from January 6, 2023 for the winter season. Service between Copenhagen and Shanghai will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays, with the return flight from Shanghai operating on Thursdays and Sundays. The flight schedule has been conveniently times with late evening departures from Copenhagen and early morning arrivals back in Copenhagen to ensure seamless passenger and cargo connectivity across SAS’ global network.
The route will be operated with an Airbus A350, offering a unique travel experience, while delivering reduced fuel consumption and up to 30 percent lower CO2 emissions compared to previous generation aircraft.
SAS is the leading airline in Scandinavia, normally carrying over 30 million passengers annually from its main hubs in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm to 125 destinations in Europe, the US and Asia (pre-pandemic figures).
