Qatar Airways Unveils Unique 25 Year Anniversary Retro Boeing 777-300 Livery

Qatar Airways is celebrating their 25th Anniversary with the unveiling of a Boeing 777-300 featuring a unique retro livery. The aircraft made its debut on Monday with flight QR 0041 from Hamad International Airport in Doha to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

On Monday (February 21, 2022), Qatar Airways announced the unveiling of a unique 25th anniversary retro livery on one of their Boeing 777-300s. The aircraft made its debut as flight QR 0041 operating from Hamad International Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Over the next 12 months, the aircraft will be featured on a number of routes as the carrier celebrates 25 years of excellence in commercial aviation. Qatar Airways started as a small regional airline in 1997, serving a small number of destinations, and has since grown into one of the world’s leading global airlines serving over 140 destinations across six continents.


In Monday’s announcment, Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said,


“We are tremendously excited to celebrate our 25th anniversary by introducing this unique aircraft to our fleet. We hope this retro design will bring many memories of travel to our passengers, especially those who experienced travelling with us in our early years. This livery marks the milestone of how far we have come as the national carrier, evolving into a six-time World’s Best Airline winner. As we look forward, this is a year of endless possibilities for the entire Qatar Airways Group family, with several important landmark events and celebrations planned across this period. Not least of which is the much-anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ where the eyes of the world will be turned in our direction. We will continue to shine and share our success with those who are at the heart of everything we do – our millions of loyal passengers around the globe.”


Multi award-winning Qatar Airways is the national carrier of the State of Qatar and currently serves over 140 global destinations from their base in Doha, Qatar. The airline was recently named ‘Airline of the Year’ for the sixth time at the 2021 World Airline Awards managed by Skytrax.
