Qatar Airways to Resume Service to Windhoek, Namibia From June 25, 2022

Qatar Airways is restarting service to Windhoek, Namibia from June 25, 2022. The carrier will offer three weekly flights on the route, which will be serviced with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner featuring 22 Business Class and 232 Economy Class seats.

On Thursday (March 10, 2022), Qatar Airways announced that they will resume three weekly flights between Doha and Windhoek, Namibia from June 25, 2022. The route will be operated with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner featuring 22 Business Class and 232 Economy Class seats. Flight QR1373 will depart Hamad International Airport in Doha at 01:45 and arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek at 09:50. The return flight, QR1374, departs Windhoek at 13:20 and arrives in Doha at 23:00 (all times local). With the relaunch of Windhoek, Qatar Airways will offer over 200 weekly flights across 31 African gateways, the carrier’s largest-ever African schedule. Inbound customers to Doha will also enjoy seamless onward connectivity to nearly 150 destinations in the airline’s extensive global network.


In Thursday’s announcement, Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Executive, His Excellency, Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said,


“This resumption demonstrates the strong ties between Doha and Namibia, with Qatar Airways enjoying an increasingly robust presence across the African continent, supporting economies and the ongoing recovery of the travel industry in the region. Reinstating flights from Windhoek to Doha will not only ensure Qatar Airways is best-placed to meet the increasing demand for travel in Southern Africa, it will also enable an even greater number of our valued passengers in Africa to experience our signature five-star service on board.”
